Vegetarian Bed & Breakfast
We are located halfway between North and South Molton nestling in the beautiful North Devon countryside. We have made this our home for the past 20 years and raised our family here, and we value the serenity of our location with the fantastic wildlife, birdlife and natural hedgerows and flora that is here in abundance, we look forward to sharing that experience with you.
Limeslake is situated in unspoilt countryside at the end of a private drive with breathtaking views down the valley.
Peace, quiet and relaxation are guaranteed, and with 26 acres of fields and woodland, bounded by the River Mole, there is plenty of flora and fauna to see.
The farmhouse is reputably mentioned in the Domesday book and it also boasts an old roundhouse barn (or "Horse Engine House") which was used to operate the threshing machines of old.
As well as the main farmhouse, we have a beautifully converted barn which is used for our guest accomodation as well as other traditional and modern barns and building. Limeslake is no longer a working farm, although there is often sheep in the fields to keep the grass down. The woods stretch for about 9 acres and are designated as ancient semi natural woodland, filled with beech, oak and hazel trees with carpets of bluebells in the spring and plenty of blackberries in the autumn.
Woodpeckers, Bullfinches, Goldfinches, and Nuthatches are regular visitors to our bird tables, and the Buzzards are seen daily circling in the skies. Red deer, Fox, Squirrels, and Owls are also seen at regular intervals.
At the bottom of Limeslake Wood is a meadow field which supports many wild flowers, Ragged Robin, Yellow Iris, Meadow Orchid are among a few . The meadow leads down to the banks of the River Mole, the boundary of the farm, and from here you can take the footpath to North Molton or South Molton.
